November 2014
November 1st I woke up in pain at about 4.30am I went to the toilet but was constipated as well as very bloated. I came on this morning. It is so painful and the nausea is something awful. I am bloated, tired and very constipated.
My first full week at work is completed. My head is hitting the pillow and I am out for the count. I know it is down to being back to work after six weeks off work sick. But I doubt it has helped that I am on my period as well. Typical I have had six weeks where it would not have mattered to come on and I have to come on right on the first week back to work after my operation.
On Monday my sister and I went to London, we went to see the ceramic poppies at the Tower of London. They represent every single soldier that died in World War 1, which started 100 years ago this year. As well as going to see the poppies we when down Brick Lane, China Town, Science Museum and the Natural History Museum, back to Waterloo and had dinner and a cocktail whilst we waited for our train home. Needless to say I was shattered after I got home. I cannot wait until Sunday for my day off so that I can do absolutely nothing. I do not know how I am going to get through this week I am just too tired. My alarm is going off in the morning and I could easily just lay in bed and go back to sleep. I know that I must get through this week and that somehow I shall find the energy to do so.
One week until my appointment part of me cannot wait to get it out of the way whilst another part of me is nervous about the pain the examination is going to cause. On Thursday I am going to the Good Food Show in Birmingham with my aunt, the old human resource manager and one of the chefs at work. I am looking forward to it.
Oh great last night I felt a tad sore downstairs and it looks like I have got thrush again, typical one week before my appointment how frustrating and to top it all off this morning I have woken up with the beginnings of a cold. My sinuses feel bunged, my eyes feel blurry in general I feel just plainly run down. As I am writing I can feel a niggling headache coming on. I hope this is just a 24 hour thing and that it is cleared before Thursday. A day of rest today I think along with honey, lemon and ginger tea I think and hopefully I shall catch this thing before it takes hold completely.
Where has November gone? It is the end of the month already I have just got back from the Good Food Show in Birmingham it was really good. I am shattered but it was worth it. I did try a really hot chilli sauce oh my God I like spice but this was something else. I thought I was honestly going to die. A volcano was erupting in my mouth and the heat just kept coming. Within seconds I had gone shaky, tears streamed down my face, I was sweating. Had heart palpitations and could not speak for at least 5 minutes and even now at 8pm (I had this taster at about 10am and it was the tiniest possible bit) I have still got a tingly sensation at the back of my throat. Apart from that though it was a great day and great company. My cold is starting to ease now which is good. I have got my appointment on Monday. I cannot believe how quick it has come round. I only have 13 more working days at work until Christmas break. With my appointment on Monday I have got the rest of that day off as well as Tuesday I also had a spare holiday day so I chose to use that as well as Wednesday is a quiet day. This should give me time to relax after the internal examinations that they are going to do.
I can feel my pelvis getting sore and my ovaries aching, my whole abdomen feels so tense. Yesterday and today my breasts have been very sore I think that I am due my period any day now. Just hope that it is after my appointment on Monday fingers crossed hey.
Can the person that is repeatedly stabbing my left ovary kindly stop doing so as can the person doing karate in my pelvis. I would really appreciate it. I think three days is long enough I am starting to suffer with the lack of sleep on top of the busy shifts at work due to the pain that you are giving me so please kindly GIVE IT A REST!!!!! Next time I shall not be so polite.
back in October I explained that I could not go into too much details about how my follow up appointment went but now I can officially say that it went really well in the way that my gynaecologist has got no qualms about putting us through to apply for NHS funding IVF, because of my history and the length of time that we have been trying for a baby. Before we start IVF we have to redo all of the tests that I have had done in the past three years, such as the HyCoSy test, swabs, blood tests etc. as well as my husband having to redo his semen sample. The reason for the need to repeat these tests is because they have all to be done within a six month time scale of starting the IVF. So that is it the ball has started to roll. Until the IVF starts we are to continue to try naturally, just in case. But it is just a batter of dotting the I’s and crossing the T’s. I am to have my dye test and other tests such as the swabs etc. at my next appointment in a months’ time. I am a tad nervous about this because my previous examinations have been extremely painful. But I know that I need to have these tests done no matter what, and I have had them done before, so no matter how painful they get I need to have them done. At least I will be prepared as will my gynaecologist. Also you never know it may even be less painful because this operation was such a success. I need to have several blood tests when my period starts. The tests on days 2-6 of my menstrual cycle are for Thyroid, FSH, AMH, Rubella, hepatitis B, hepatitis C and HIV. I also have to have a day 21 Progesterone test. If by my next appointment I have not started my period he will give me medication (as long as I am not pregnant) to bring on my period.
